I can't believe we're already at the last home game of the season. How is that possible? Junior year is flying by. 

Not only is 2/26 our last men's basketball home game, but it's also senior night. There are three seniors on the dance team, and I hope they don't read this because I'm going to spoil some surprises here! Every year we try and make senior night special. As a collegiate dancer, once you graduate undergrad, you usually retire. There isn't a "professional dance league" like there is for typical sports. There are some options like becoming a professional NBA or NFL dancer but those careers pay very little for a high time commitment and level of dedication. 

So we want to make senior night one last hurrah! This year I worked with my non-senior teammates to buy a couple cute things for our seniors. The first is sashes. A lot of high schools will do senior sashes for their dance and cheer teams so I wanted to bring that back for this senior night. We bought white, satin senior sashes with black sparkly lettering that reads "SENIOR 2023." The girls can wear them during sidelines and for pictures at the end of the game. Another thing I wanted to do was make them photo collages. We have so many pictures from our media days and sidelines so I wanted to make something that they can keep for years to come. I designed a photo collage for each girl on Canva featuring three photos: two media day photos and one sideline photo. Then I included the Bradley logo, Bradley Dance Team, their name and Class of 2023. I then got them printed on photo paper and framed. Finally on senior night we're going to have a student photographer to take pictures of our seniors' last game. 

It's so surreal to think that three girls I've danced with for the past three years won't be on the team anymore. I'm going to miss them so much! 

Another thing that makes this a huge game is that it's against Drake. Right now Drake is our biggest competition in the Missouri Valley Conference. As of now, we are tied for in conference wins, so Sunday determines who take the number one spot in our conference going into the MVC Championship tournament. In short, Sunday is going to be INSANE. 

Additionally, Bradley Basketball has new uniforms. They're the retro style but red because Sunday is a RED OUT. We also have new uniform tops for our hip hop dance (that are red!) and we are so excited for the energy in the crowd on Sunday.
